Golf Training Aid

Golf is one of the fastest growing sports on earth right now. What is the reason? I have no idea. I remember not fifteen years ago the sport of golf was considered an old mans game and nothing more. For whatever reason the younger generations have taken to the sport of golf and as an avid golfer I am so pleased to see that. I have always loved the sport of golf and I can thank my father and grandfather for that love. I always made sure that I got out on the course. The thing was, when I was in college I got made fun of because I would rather spend my day on the golf course perfecting my game than at the beach drinking all day. The funny thing is that now all of my old friends are into the game of golf and are starting way behind the power curve. While they are just learning to hold the club I am dropping strokes off of my game. I actually get regular calls from all of them asking to go golfing and of course they are now trying to get golf tips from me. I wonder why they are not asking the beer for help now. That is just my own inside joke. The thing is that the love of the game of golf is not the only reason that I was able to improve my game. The truth is that just like many other golf lovers I needed the assistance of an assortment of golf training aids to get me over the humps. There are so many golf training aids on the market today that it can be a bit daunting. I have found that most of them work really well as long as you have a realistic notion of the possible outcomes.

The first type of golf training aid that I employed was one to work on my grip. I figured that the golf club grip was the most important place to begin. I went to the store and bought a handful of these golf training aids. I bought a few different types of grips to help position my hands right as well as a bunch of gloves. To answer your question each golf training aid cost a bunch and yes I spent a lot but I was determined to get better and if a training aid was going to help I was not going to miss the boat.

The second type of golf training aid that I went after was a swing trainer. I had always heard that the best way to improve your game was to start off with a great hit from off of the tee. I bought a few golf training aids for this from videos to cards and diagrams all the way to weird contraptions. I would say that out of all of the areas of golf that I have bought a training aid for the swing was the area where the golf training aids helped me the least. I found that if I practiced a bunch and just kept track of what happens each swing I learned pretty well on my own. I would not necessarily recommend using a golf training aid for this area.

I must admit that one of my favorite sets of golf training aids that I used were the ones for the putting. Maybe it is because the greens are smaller and easier to simulate off of the golf course or not but I did find some great training aids for the golf putting area. I picked up boards and mats and things like that so I could practice in my office without anyone knowing. I must have pulled a ton of strokes off of my game just working with a golf training aid in my own office in a shirt and tie. There are a ton of putters on the market that are designed to be golf training aids with all sorts of lines and even some lasers. I would say that you should go to the store and test all the training aids you can for the green golfing area and see what works best for you. Do not just go out and buy every golf training aid you see thinking it will automatically improve your putting.

One of the most technologies based golf training aids I have used is a speed radar item. This was cool though I do not think that it really helped me with my golf game but it was a lot of fun to play around with. It was a pretty pricey training aid but I would pretty much do anything for the sport of golf. I would say this golf training aid is fun but unnecessary.

The last of the golf training aids that I got is actually not that long ago. I bought a training aid golf club that breaks away when you swing the wrong way. I am sure you have seen this one on a number of golf training aid infomercials but this one was really good for me. I will say that it is a bit frustrating trying to learn to use it but that is why it is so amazing. You never know how bad your golf swing is until the club reminds you by busting in half. Of all of the training aids for the game of golf if you are only going to buy one I would make it this one.

Golf training aids are a huge business and there is only one really good reason for that, they work well. Many great golfers have a lot of information to share and they are ingenious about using technology and engineering to get their point across. The golf training aids on the market that work really well are a bit on the expensive side. The bottom line is that if you want a great product you have to be willing to shell out the cash. Get out and experiment with the golf training aids in the sporting goods store. You and your game will be glad.
